Casa Jackson Crib Sponsorship Update

Casa Jackson is a Guatemalan charity that is part of The God’s Child Project.  Casa Jackson Hospital for Malnourished Children.

As we approach being halfway through the year we wanted to share some statistics about Casa Jackson.  So far this year, Casa Jackson has had 47 children in residence and over 100 children in total treated for health.

The average time spent at Casa Jackson is 3 months and 5 days and the average weight gain is 3 lbs. 1 oz. (1.4 kg). On average, children gain another 19.4% of their initial weight while at Casa Jackson. Currently in there are 22 baby in-patients.

Baby Axel

Axel is in the crib that IndPro Services sponsors. Axel has now been at Casa Jackson for 4 months and 12 days and has gained exactly 3 lbs. or 27% of his initial weight. He has also grown 4.5 cm taller.

Axel has been very steadily gaining weight since arriving at Casa Jackson, although he did plateau earlier this month before shooting up again. Axel is also making good developmental progress and can stand up by himself and walk with support from his mother. He is even saying hello to people when he sees them!
