Very Narrow Aisle Guidance Systems

Narrow aisle and very narrow aisle (VNA)
Vehicle guidance systems deliver ease of mobility to operate in aisles less than six feet in width. These systems are inexpensive and fairly easy to install. There are two main systems of vehicle guidance; wire guided or rail guided.
Wire Guidance

Wire Guidance
Wire guidance is a system in which a wire is placed in the middle of the aisles and sealed over with epoxy. The wire will connect with the Line Drive Unit (LDU) which sends a low voltage frequency along the wire. The vehicle has a fixture mounted that senses the magnetic field that will help guide the vehicle.
Rail Guidance

Rail Guidance
Rail guidance is a system that has rails mounted on both sides of the aisle. Guide rollers are placed on the vehicle to maintain the path. There are optical sensors to provide automatic aisle identification to help the vehicle center on the rails.
