Mezzanine and Storage Platforms

Smart Ways To Use Your Space

When you’re planning growth within your warehouse – it’s not just about adding square footage. It’s about making the most of every inch of your limited space in an intentional, well-designed way. You can create high-density storage space simply by capitalizing on the vertical space in your facility.

We always advise our customers: don’t build out – build up!  Mezzanines and storage platforms are the ideal way to take advantage of unused vertical space.

These modular structures are heavy-duty and versatile, well-suited to a variety of applications. They can function as office space, staging areas or storage areas, and cost far less than a new build would.

The term mezzanine is generally used to describe any raised platform surface or intermediate floor in a building which is open to the floor below. Mezzanines help to make a high-ceilinged space feel more personal and less vast and can create additional floor space. Industrial mezzanines are most commonly pre-fabricated, free-standing steel structures installed within a building. Pre-fabricated meaning it is designed and fabricated at a manufacturing facility and then shipped to a location to be erected on site by an experienced installer. Because everything is pre-fabricated at the factory means there is no drilling, cutting or welding on site. There are many advantages to using a pre-fabricated mezzanine which include cost, ease and speed of installation, tax advantages, ability to disassemble and relocate, and space utilization. Mezzanines can be used for many different applications including storage, office space, production area, manufacturing and observation. Industrial mezzanines offer a number of decking/flooring options that include wood, Resindek and b-deck, concrete, bar grating, and steel diamond plate each designed to meet various applications. Mezzanines and work platforms can also be constructed from a variety of materials such as wood, steel, fiberglass or stainless steel depending on the application. Whatever your application a mezzanine is a great way to increase your warehouse space by building up – not out.
